Fur Ever Home Cat Sanctuary formed in March of 2022 and is an all volunteer organization. One of the main goals achieved by Fur Ever Home Cat Sanctuary was the founding of a sanctuary for feral, un-adoptable cats that are in danger. Through the generous financial donation of a fellow cat lover we were able to purchase land to develop the sanctuary. In the process of providing a safe and secure home for cats, we have enclosed approximately 14 acres of land and the cats are protected by specially designed cat fencing to keep them safe and to keep predators out. They are provided with a cozy shelter were they may reside during hot or inclement weather. A containment area within the fencing allows new cats to adjust to the site, sounds and smells of the sanctuary before being released to the general population. At Fur Ever Home Cat Sanctuary, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our feline residents. For this reason, we do not publicly disclose our physical address in order to prevent unplanned drop-offs. Our sanctuary operates at its current maximum capacity, which means we are providing care for a significant number of cats. While we have space available for more cats and would love to help every feline in need, we are dependent on the support of our community to ensure we can provide proper care for each feline in need. It is also important to note that Fur Ever Home Cat Sanctuary is specifically designed to provide a safe haven for unadoptable cats and those unlikely to survive in the wild. Many of our feline friends come from local humane societies that have determined them to be unadoptable and at risk of euthanasia. We are grateful for your understanding and encourage you to join us in our mission to give these cats the life they deserve. Can I donate in ways other than monetary contributions, such as providing supplies or services? Yes! We feed our cats [Purina® Cat Chow® Complete](https://www.petsmart.com/cat/food-and-treats/dry-food/purina-cat-chow-complete-all-life-stages-cat-dry-food---chicken-with-vitamins-real-meat-56042.html) and [Purina® Friskies® Pate Wet Cat Food](https://www.petsmart.com/cat/food-and-treats/wet-food/purina-friskies-pate-wet-cat-food---5.5-oz-1610.html). Are my contributions tax deductible? As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we have received tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This means that when you contribute to our cause, your generous donations may be deductible from your taxable income, potentially reducing the amount of taxes you owe. Your support not only helps provide care and shelter for our feline residents but also comes with the added benefit of potential tax savings. We recommend consulting with a qualified tax professional to understand the specific guidelines and requirements for claiming tax deductions on charitable donations. Thank you for considering supporting our sanctuary and for making a difference in the lives of these precious cats. Can my business sponsor the live stream? Yes and this will likely fall under a “qualified sponsorship payment”. IRC Section 513(i) defines a “qualified sponsorship payment” as any payment made by any person engaged in a trade or business with respect to which there is no arrangement or expectation that such person will receive any substantial return benefit other than the use or acknowledgement of the name or logo (or product lines) of such person’s trade or business in connection with the activities of the organization that receives such payment. You can also visit the [Donor Dashboard](https://fureverhomecatsanctuarysc.org/donor-dashboard/) at anytime to see your donation history and modify any recurring donations you have created. Additionally, each January an annual donation summary is sent for simplifying your annual reporting. How much of my donation actually goes to supporting the sanctuary? Fur Ever Home Cat Sanctuary is an all volunteer organization with no paid employees or board members. 100% of donations go to the actual costs of feeding cats, veterinary care, TNR Campaigns, and sanctuary maintenance. Can I make a donation in honor or memory of someone? Yes, you can select an In Honor or In Memory tribute during the donation process! Are there volunteer opportunities available at the sanctuary? Yes there are! Visit our [Volunteer Page](https://fureverhomecatsanctuarysc.org/contact/) to fill out an inquiry form and we will be in contact with you shortly. What measures does the sanctuary take to ensure the welfare and well-being of the cats? Our spacious sanctuary is composed of a total of 4 sections that have unique fencing to help keep our felines in and predatory wildlife out. The exterior perimeter is also equipped with an electric fence to prevent larger predators from digging under the fencing. New cats are kept in segregation until they have been spayed/neutered and received any needed veterinary care before being released into our larger areas. Care takers live on site at the sanctuary and feed, clean sand boxes, and visit with the cats multiple times daily. It is also important to note that Fur Ever Home Cat Sanctuary is specifically designed to provide a safe haven for unadoptable cats and those unlikely to survive in the wild. Many of our feline friends come from local humane societies that have determined them to be unadoptable and at risk of euthanasia. In addition to our live stream we also have extensive additional security camera coverage around our facility and gated entrances into it. How can I stay updated on the sanctuary's activities and events? We try and stay very active on social media and encourage you to [follow our Facebook Page](https://facebook.com/FurEverHomeCatSanctuary). Is my online donation secure? Yes.
